Keep Your Buckets Filled

In my interaction with clients I have come to realize that many of us are
carrying buckets that represent different areas of our lives.  As I speak to clients about what is going on in their small business lately they often describe situations to me with a “I have nothing left” mentality.  When I hear this I know that it is not necessarily an issue of skill or motivation but more an issue of buckets.   The buckets we carry may be labeled as: boss, wife, friend, Dad, co-worker, colleague, etc.  People around us are always taking from our buckets and they don’t have as much in them for the next person.  We do not want to create an environment where no one is taking from our buckets because each of us has so much to give.  The issue is not that people take from our buckets but it is that we are not taking time and effort to fill our own buckets.  To fill my buckets I may play a game of hockey, go for wings with some friends, or take my wife on a date.  It does not greatly matter what you do but it needs to be an activity that gives you greater energy than it expends.  Do your buckets need to be filled? What can you do this week to fill your buckets so you have more to offer to those around you?  Contact Vision Cast Canada to discuss how you can keep your buckets filled.
